Reference exchange rate down 37 VND at week’s beginning

The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate for the US dollar at 24,886 VND/USD on April 14, down 37 VND from the last work day of the previous week.

With the current trading band of +/- 5%, the ceiling rate applicable for commercial banks during the day is 26,130 VND/USD and the floor rate 23,642 VND/USD.
At 8:30 am, the opening-hour rates at major commercial banks saw increases.
Both Vietcombank and BIDV listed the buying rate at 25,560 VND/USD and the selling rate at 25,920 VND/USD, both up 40 VND from April 11./.
