Cooperation opportunities between Binh Duong and Japan opened up

On May 30, Mr. Bui Minh Tri, Vice Chairman of Binh Duong Provincial People's Committee, chaired a meeting with Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Ho Chi Minh City (JCCH) led by Mr. Kume Kunihide, Director of Mitsubishi Vietnam Company, Ho Chi Minh City Branch and new Chairman of JCCH. Also receiving the delegation were representatives of leaders of provincial departments and branches.

At the meeting, Mr. Bui Minh Tri gave an overview of Binh Duong's socio-economic development situation, and appreciated and expressed gratitude for the contributions of Japanese enterprises in the province to the overall success in recent years. 

Currently, Japan ranks second out of 65 countries and territories with investment projects in Binh Duong province with 365 projects with a total registered investment capital of more than US$6 billion. Some of the outstanding projects include: Tokyu Corporation, Wonderful Saigon Electrics Co., Ltd., Maruchi Sun Steel Co., Ltd., Saigon Stec Co., Ltd., Aeon Corporation...

Mr. Bui Minh Tri also shared more about the province's investment attraction orientation in the coming time. Accordingly, Binh Duong prioritizes attracting investment in high-tech industries, semiconductor technology, green energy, green economy, circular economy; high-tech, advanced, environmentally friendly, less labor-intensive, high-value-added sectors...

On behalf of the delegation, Mr. Kume Kunihide expressed his gratitude to the leaders of Binh Duong province for welcoming the delegation. He shared his admiration for the province's development achievements and highlighted the areas that the province prioritizes to attract investment. He believes that, given its role in connecting Japanese businesses in Ho Chi Minh City and other localities in the region, the JCCH will create many cooperation opportunities in sectors where Japanese businesses excel.

Currently, JCCH has 1,061 members, primarily located in five provinces and cities: Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, Dong Nai, Long An, and Ba Ria - Vung Tau. The organization's mission is to connect and support its members while contributing to Vietnam's economic development and promoting economic exchange activities between Vietnam and Japan.
