“Cultivator of virtue”
"The one who plants flowering trees enjoys their beauty while I cultivate virtue for future generations". Some people liken this folk verse to the life journey of Than Thi Diep Nga—an eminent teacher, a dedicated physician and a leader of the Red Cross Society branch full of responsibilities. Through her contributions to education and charity work, she not only imparts knowledge, but also sows the seeds of compassion in the hearts of those around her.

When mentioning Mrs. Nga, Le Thi Kim Ut, Chairwoman of Thu Dau Mot University’s Trade Union portrayed her as a woman not only devoting to teaching, but also continuously striving to become a physician—a healer for the people. This journey is vividly captured in the literary work “Than Thi Diep Nga – From Eminent Teacher to Physician: A Journey of Love”. The work has recently won second prize in the literature category of the second "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, morality, and lifestyle" arts and literature competition from 2021 to 2025, organized by provincial Association of Literature and Arts.

Mrs. Nga dedicated more than 30 years to the education sector as a biology lecturer at Binh Duong College of Education (now Thu Dau Mot University). In 2000, she was honored with the title of “Meritorious Teacher”. She retired in 2015.
Although being retired, Mrs. Nga has not stopped, but continued her journey of helping others. Her passion for traditional medicine was sparked by a personal accident she experienced. After studying and researching traditional medicine, she decided to become a physician—not only to care for people's physical health, but also support their mental well-being. Since then, she has relentlessly brought hope to those facing hardships.
In addition to being a teacher and physician, Than Thi Diep Nga is also a dedicated leader of the Red Cross Society branch. Throughout her involvement in charitable activities, she has connected donors to support underprivileged families in Thu Dau Mot city’s Phu Loi ward. One of the most notable programs initiated by her is the campaign of “Each organization, individual supports a humanitarian address”. This program has supported dozens of families, providing them with practical assistance. Each month, a family receives at least VND 300,000, giving them additional motivation to overcome difficulties in life.
Not only stopping at financial support, Mrs.Nga has also actively mobilized people around her for blood donation, embodying the spirit of readiness to give support to the community. She firmly believes that charitable work is not just a responsibility, but an essential part of her life.
